“Who was Henslow”

Kate Hooper is an expert gardens guide at Cambridge Botanic Garden, author and a retired doctor. She has recently published a book, ‘Who was Henslow?’ which in which she explores the life and work of John Stevens Henslow, professor of Botany and founder of the current Cambridge Botanic Garden site from 1846. This talk shares the insights and inspiration behind his story, combining gardens, science and social history.
