Illustrated talk on history of Panshanger Park, looking at the Capability Brown and Repton landscapes followed by tour of stables and guided walk of site of Victorian gardens.
The 30-minute talk will take place in the stables at Panshanger, followed by a tour round the stables looking at the surviving features. The walk though the historic pleasure grounds will look at the orangery and the remains of the box, dairy, and formal gardens before arriving at the Panshanger Oak. Views across Repton’s landscape and the Broadwater. The talk will be given by an experienced garden historian from Hertfordshire Gardens Trust and the walk led by the HGT.
