The Hertfordshire Gardens Trust AGM will be held at Greys Farm, Therfield on 16 July 2024 by kind invitation of Edward & Annie Darling. We are in for a treat – I am told the Coronation Meadow, which is in the top left hand corner of the photo, will be in full flower by July and filled with butterflies.
Directions to the farm are given below. An agenda and more details about the AGM will be sent out to members later this month. We are planning to hold the AGM at 6.30pm so please arrive from 6.00pm. After the meeting Edward will talk to us about his environmental work at the farm and his future plans.
Please bring chairs, together with your picnic. As the Buntingford Brewery is based on site Edward is going to provide a barrel of beer for us. This is a working farm and the ground is uneven and rough under foot. Please wear suitable footwear and take care.
If following a satnav please use SG8 9NW. The farm is very easy to find. Drive north on the A10 to Reed. In the village there is a left turn clearly marked Therfield. Follow this road straight through Therfield and you will find Greys Farm on the right just before you reach the top of the ridge. Alternatively, the farm can be reached from the A505 travelling north. At the roundabout for the Royston bypass turn right onto Baldock Road, then immediately right. Pass the public car park on the right and then Greys is on the left. The farm is approached through the fine avenue of trees which bisects the “Time Garden” and is in the centre of the photo below. You will be directed to the car park.
