HGT 30th Anniversary Walks
To celebrate our 30th anniversary we put together some new walks taking in some of the county’s historic landmarks. The walk routes and local information guides can be downloaded below.

ASHRIDGE
A circuit of about 3 1⁄2 miles (5.5 km). OS Explorer Map 181. Paths through the woods can be muddy.
BEECHWOOD
A circuit of about 3 miles (5 km), on and off road, passable all year round. OS Explorer Map 182
BROCKET PARK
A circular walk of 2 miles (3.2 km)
DIGSWELL PARK
The walk is a circuit of about 21⁄2 miles (4 km), which can be muddy. OS Explorer Map 182.
KIMPTON HOO
The walk is a hilly circuit of about 4 1⁄2 miles (7.5 km) over roads and footpaths with good views. OS Explorer Maps 182 & 193
NEWSELLS
The walk explores both Newsells and Cokenach , and is about 5 miles (8.5 km) on mostly level ground. Paths can be muddy through the woods. OS Explorer Map 194.
PANSHANGAR
The walk is 4 miles (6.5 km). OS Explorer Maps 182 & 194. The area between the car park and Riverside Cottage (F) is designated ‘open access’ and as there are often grazing animals, dogs must be on leads.
PISHIOBURY
The walk is about 31⁄2 miles (5.5km) on grass and paths including the towpath. It can be muddy after rain in low-lying areas. Cattle are often grazed in the park.
WOODHALL PARK
The walk is a circuit of about 51⁄2 miles (9 km) with a high stile. OS Explorer Map 194.
YOUNGSBURY PARK
The walk is of about 2 1⁄4 miles (3 1⁄2 km), much of it in the park on a surfaced bridleway and across grass. Dogs must be kept on leads. OS Explorer Map 194.
